Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Uxel Pty Ltd, trading as Exit Plan, handles personal information when you use exitplan.au, complete an assessment, purchase a product, join a waitlist or contact us.
What we collect
The assessment collects your first name, email address, answers and readiness scores. It does not ask for your business name, headcount, profit or exit timeline. If you contact us or book a review, you may choose to provide further business information. We also collect enquiries, support preferences, purchase and payment records, and technical information such as device, browser, IP address and website activity.
How we collect it
We collect information directly from you through forms, assessments, purchases and correspondence. We may also collect website and advertising activity through analytics, cookies and similar technologies. Payment card details are processed by our payment provider and are not stored by Exit Plan.
Why we use it
- to calculate, create and deliver your Exit Readiness report;
- to provide products, support, refunds and requested services;
- to manage course and workshop interest, advisory enquiries and review bookings;
- to send marketing only where permitted, including where you have opted in;
- to improve our content, products, advertising and website; and
- to prevent misuse, comply with law and protect our legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
We use service providers to run the business, including Vercel for website hosting, HubSpot for customer relationship management, SendGrid for email delivery, Stripe for payments, Google Calendar for review bookings, PostHog for anonymous funnel analytics, and advertising providers such as Meta where enabled. They process information for us under their own security and privacy arrangements. We do not sell your personal information. Completing the assessment does not authorise sharing your answers or contact details with brokers or buyers. We do not contact your staff or competitors about your assessment.
Funnel analytics
We use PostHog, hosted in the United States, to understand where visitors start or stop in the assessment. We send an anonymous session identifier, device category, referral and campaign information, question numbers, section names, form interaction events and submission outcomes. We do not send your name, email, assessment answers or scores to PostHog. Session recordings and automatic capture of form contents are not enabled. The anonymous identifier is held in session storage; tracking honours your browser’s Do Not Track setting.
Overseas processing
Some providers may process or store information outside Australia, including in the United States and other locations where they or their subcontractors operate. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and appropriate safeguards.
Storage and security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, legal obligations and dispute resolution.
Your choices and rights
You may unsubscribe from marketing using the link in an email. You may also ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or request deletion where appropriate. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, contact us with enough detail to investigate. We will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
This policy is a practical website template and should be reviewed by an Australian lawyer before public launch, particularly once all analytics, advertising and international data flows are final.
